Making the decision about in-home care for a loved one is never easy, but finding the right answers can help you feel more comfortable with the options available and confident in your final decision.

Below is a list of frequently asked questions that we hope will be a good starting point in your quest for answers. This is by no means an all-inclusive resource and we would expect you to have more questions and require additional information about the services and caregivers that LTC@Home provides.

We welcome your questions or comments and encourage you to contact us by phone at 801-683-6002 or email us by CLICKING HERE.  We would be happy to answer any questions you may have and help you with your specific family situation.

We have been providing professional in-home care and support services in Salt Lake City, Provo, West Jordan, Orem, Sandy, Ogden and other Utah communities for more than 10 years.

A written, customized care plan is developed during a free in-home needs assessment consultation with the client and family members, and the plan will be frequently updated as changes occur.

LTC@Home has staff on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to serve our clients’ needs. We are available any time of day for any emergencies that may occur.

We closely supervise our caregivers and stay in constant contact with our clients and their families to receive feedback on the quality of the care being provided. Our caregivers also maintain daily charting to ensure all care provided in the care plan is being performed. LTC@Home is proud to exceed industry requirements by providing non-scheduled supervisory visits to clients’ homes during the times that caregivers are scheduled for care.

We have a full-time director of nursing as well as many part-time RNs who regularly visit our clients. All care plans are completed and approved by an RN. We are fully staffed to meet any need that a client may have.

Our agency provides a written document to each of our clients that states the rights and responsibilities of the client, and explains the company’s privacy policy and code of ethics. We maintain strict client confidentiality and will not discuss our client’s case with anyone without first getting the client’s permission. All of our client communications are HIPPA compliant.

We make sure to triple-screen our caregiver employees carefully and thoroughly, including the use of reference checks, checking driving records and conducting criminal background investigations.

Our home care agency mandates ongoing training of our caregiver employees. We have a training center in each of our offices to ensure that every caregiver understands how to use the medical our clients require. We also utilize an accredited home care curriculum, where they are trained in specific disease processes and caregiving techniques. They must obtain continuing education units every year by passing courses and attending in-service training.

LTC@Home manages all payroll and employee related matters and adheres to state and federal guidelines in its employment practices, such as withholding appropriate taxes and providing Workers’ Compensation, health insurance and other benefits. We do not use independent contractors to provide home care.
